Guys! Summer is almost over! My boys go back to school next week so we’ve done quite a bit and have been super busy lately. We went camping a week ago at the lake and today I was cleaning all of the fun left over stuff up from the living room.
Since we’ve been at the lake and on our boat the kids decided to make their own boats out of sponges. Last summer when I was pregnant with our almost one year old, we went to a water festival at the Litchfield Park Historical Museum. The boys learned how to make little boats out of sponges and they loved it.
Anyways, while I was cleaning the camping stuff up the boys found sponges and told me they wanted to make boats. They already had the supplies out before I could walk over to help them out. The boys found random things around the house and put them together so fast.
My oldest used the cardboard part of a battery package, some painters tape and a wood skewer (cut in half).
My four year old used a wood skewer cut in half, a few post-its and painters tape.
Simple and fun!
